Accidental Causes

Through research, Professor Park found some very interesting accidental causes of Shaken Baby Syndrome. Although it rarely happens, he emphasizes taking caution when playing with a young child. For example, throwing and catching a baby in the air, bouncing the baby on one's knee, and bouncing the child when he or she is on one's shoulder or back. The heads and necks of babies are too fragile and cannot withstand the rigor of this type of horseplay and therefore must be supported.
